Let’s get you connected.
Smee connects to servers you configure. You’ll need their addresses, API keys, and a network connection that can reach them.
First-time setup
- Open Smee’s Settings on your iPhone.
- Enter the base URL and API key for Radarr, Sonarr, and SABnzbd. Prefer HTTPS when your servers support it.
- Test the connections, choose the available quality profile and root folder where prompted, then save.
- Open Smee on your Apple TV using the same iCloud account. Shared settings may take a moment to arrive.
Sharing with your household
Sharing with another Apple account requires accepting a Smee iCloud sharing invitation. Membership in an Apple Family group alone does not grant access to server settings.
If a server won’t connect
Check that its address is reachable from the device, the API key is current, and the service is running. Local addresses typically require access to your home network. A successful connection on your phone does not guarantee your television can reach the same address.
Demo environment
Our demonstration services use original fictional movies and shows with simulated download activity. Demo credentials are supplied separately. The app uses its normal connection and library controls with these services.
