App settings and iCloud

Smee stores server addresses, API keys, quality profiles, and root folder choices on your device. It uses Apple’s CloudKit service to synchronize settings and to share them with people you explicitly invite. People with access to shared settings can use the configured services and may be able to change those settings.

Requests to your services

Search terms, title identifiers, library actions, and connection credentials are sent to the servers you configure. Artwork may be loaded from URLs returned by those servers. Those services and image hosts handle requests under their own policies. Your personal server requests do not pass through a Smee-operated media backend.

Optional demonstration services

When you configure our demo endpoints, they process search terms, demo API keys, and library actions. The demo stores fictional library entries, simulated download jobs, and recent commands in a workspace associated with the demo credentials. Anyone using the same credentials shares that workspace. Demo state remains until the workspace is reset or removed; contact us to request a reset. The demonstration does not transfer media files.

Website and infrastructure

The website and demo use Vercel, Cloudflare, and Supabase. These providers may process IP addresses, request metadata, and operational logs to deliver and protect the services. This site does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The site uses system fonts.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send credentials.

Your choices

You can change server settings, stop using the demo, and manage iCloud sharing. Removing the app does not necessarily remove CloudKit records or shared settings. Contact us for help with data held by our demonstration service or support mailbox. We do not sell your personal information.
